I will always remember Leslie coming to train our care staff when we were setting up what was known in the mid-80s as the Crossroads Care Attendant Scheme.  Our staff were Care Attendants - working in people's homes throughout the Borough.  We were based in Cripps Lodge on Netherfield in those days.  Subsequently we enjoyed donations from donor bodies such as Rotary clubs often splitting the money with the Hospice.
